HSBC’s Fair and Responsible lending team relied on a data and analytics team to obtain data to perform fair lending reviews. The
Fair Lending team (3 people) was terminated. One person from data and analytics was terminated due to this occurring. HSBC
was discussing hiring offshore personnel to replace these individuals.
